AI Agents in Notion, n8n, Make - Considerations and Differences

Building custom AI agents that perform certain tasks on demand or on a schedule is possible across many platforms. Some of the most prominent ones include Notion, n8n, and Make.

In Notion, you can build custom agents that perform actions across your Notion workspace and other connected tools. The advantage of using Notion is that it is a one-stop solution not just for agent orchestration but also for data management and team collaboration. You can store your documentation, projects, contacts, and other systems to run your business or life. All of these systems can be accessed by the AI agents when they run, which keeps them up to date and alive in a single software tool.

For most people, in my opinion Notion is the way to go. If you operate in an enterprise environment or prefer maintaining more control over how you build automations and AI agents, n8n or Make may be your best choice as part of the broader tech infrastructure at the foundation of your business.
